Ikegami Honmon-ji

At the end of his life Nichiren Shonin became ill and his sufferings increased. He left Mount Minobu on 8th September 1282 to go to a natural hot spring near Ikegami to bathe in the soothing waters. The journey to Ikegami took him ten days, and unable to go any further he remained at the home of Munenaka, the Lord of Ikegami, before reaching the spring.
